Default Clutch Pedal Sticking

I'm taking my car in sometime soon (body shop first to get a ding repaired) to have the clutch pedal looked at. Once I press the clutch in and release it, it pops half way out, and then gets stuck (I'll either have to pull it back with my foot, or after driving for a bit it eventually pops out on its own). Is this something like a spring that needs replaced, some lube somewhere, or the whole clutch replaced?

Could be just the slave cylinder.

Check the floor mat (not kidding). Otherwise it would be an issue with the hydraulics (very rare). -Pete

I have rubber floor mats. So that's not the problem (I've looked). This is retarded. I've had this car since September and it's really starting to become a pain in the ***. So I guess now I need the cylinder replaced. Great.

Okay, I just set up an appointment to have my slave cylinder replaced. I'm sorry, but this car is ***. Since September (when I bought it) I've had the central locking / control unit replaced, the privacy shield replaced, the hatchback trim adjusted (and taking it back to have it replaced, because it's still a noisey piece of ****), and now the slave cylinder replaced. How can a $35,000 car be such a piece of ****? Yeah, it looks nice, but taking it to the dealer every other month gets old really fast. I'm definitely not buying an Audi again. Screw this. Oh, and I guess at some point I'll need to get the coil packs replaced.

It's odd, some cars are perfect, the ones that aren't are really bad.

I had the same problem.
Had Audi replace the slave cylinder and now it works fine. This seems to be a recurring thread.
