Default clutch pressure

now have app. 1200 mi. 180 hp. fwd TT. other than already posted 1st gear crunch problem every thing is great except the clutch . Is there any way (at 5000 check up) to increase the pressure and decrease the travel? I would much prefer a short clutch as one thats much to soft and where the foot must be pushed all the way to the floor.

Default Not to my knowledge; I think that's just the design (more)

I never really gave much thought to the clutch until I started having the transmission grinds myself. And I have a Quattro.

On Friday I was able to sucessfully demonstrate the grind to my dealership's shop foreman. It was the first Q he's seen or heard of this problem in.
Yesterday (incidentally, my TT's five month birthday), I dropped it off for its seventh service. And as the gopher was pulling it into the pen, he practically stripped first gear -- in front of half of their service staff. Now, nobody can say they can't duplicate the problem!

I do think, however, that the issue may be clutch related. The grind feels a lot like what happens in other cars that I've driven when you try to shift while just barely depressing the clutch pedal.
