Clutch problem (help needed)
Problem: press the clutch in and it tension seems weaker. After a while tension comes back but not to the level its normally at. Now when you step on the clutch and release you lose tension at 60% (meaning the pressure is no longer linear and I know the its not supposed to be completely linear).
Other wise the Gears stay in gear, no signs of slipping (maybe a very little to none) Car is at
70K 2 timing belt changes, recent oil change and didnt have a chance to Vag-com it yet. but doubt there are codes.

In order of likelihood-----
1. Slave cylinder. Brake fluid loss will usually accompany this.
2. Clutch master cylinder.
3. Clutch disk delamination. (lining material dislodges or rolls up and makes disk thicker so that it holds pressure plate too far from flywheel.)
I had #3 but I caused it by a clumsy high speed downshift. #2 is cheapest to fix, but will not cause clutch to slip.
Good Luck. Hard to do a clutch for less than $1500, unless you do it yourself. 9 hours labor.
