Default I redid mine manually, and ordered the kit in the link for my daughters GTI
Basically, the underlying copper wire is fine, so I didn't want to start hacking into it. Instead I bought new connectors and rewrapped the wires and my harness was fine.
For the 180 in the GTI, I'm going to splice it in at some point, just haven't gotten around to it.

Default yep....but there is additional work for AMU as noted in the link so make sure you>>
