It only took me 45 minutes to change my AMU's plugs. And that was my first time.
I'll grant you that there's not a lot of room to work, but I didn't think it was that bad at all.

you got hosed by the dealer..
varies from one dealer to the next. My dealer wanted 40 bucks just to change the parking light bulb. Sorry to hear you forked out that much when it could be a DIY job.

it takes me 5 minutes to gather up my tools...
and about 15 minutes to swap out a coilpack...#1 and #2 are easiest, but #3 and #4, there's more to get out of the way. minimal tool set though and its pretty easy.
