Hello, I just leased a 04 TT roadster, 180 AT6. I want to add on a cold air intake system, what do you guys reccomend for my application, something that is a perfect match with audi, and will give me the best bang for the buck. Also what should i expect from this cold air unit (horsepower, tourqe, exhust noise level?)
Thank you, btw, i love my TT! its a tottaly differnt driving experince!

Hand made from Steve, it has excellent built quality, heat insulation and two tubes instead of one that gives you great versatility as to where to get cold air from.
Can't talk numbers, but it was a noticeable improvement over the BMC since low end response was better and top end power stronger.
I definitely recommend it.
Btw, hope you enjoy your TT as much as we do! Congratulations!

http://public.fotki.com/ttschwing/cai_ttda_and_other/</a

Thanks guys for all the suggestions, i think i will go with the TTDA, where is a good place to buy one? And how much should i expect to pay for one? Also so far i've put around 170 miles on the blue baby, what is a good milage to break the car in, before i can really open up the throttle on the back roads?

He's the one that makes them. Specify you've got a 180bhp 'cause MAF diameter changes from 180 to 225.
I'd suggest you waited till 1k before you gave her some stick. Engien doesn't really open up till much later (10k or so).
Friendly advice: Nomatter if the coolant temp has reached 90*C (or normal), always wait for a couple of miles or more till you open the throttle fully. Unfortunately these car do not have oil temp gauges which give you a much better clue as to whether the engine has reached normal working conditions. Also, don't forget to let the turbocharger cool down afterwards. The best way to do that is to cruise without overworking the turbo and letting idle for a minute, instead of just letting it idle longer.

For every 11 degrees F increase in charge air temp, you lose 1% HP. The engine compartment is 70-100
