Default Cold Air Intake Opinions

Hi everyone,
I am looking to purchase a cold air intake for my 2001 TT 225 Quattro. There are many places out there that sell air intake kits and my questions is this: Is there an intake system that stands out as being better or all they all pretty much the same? I am leaning toward the PES Cold Air Intake since I have delt with them in the past and have had good service.
I have another question: What kind of horsepower gain can I expect from an intake system? I have seen claims stating 5-8 hp. Really???

Thanks

Default BMC TT CDA, one of the best I have seen for any of my cars.

Default honestly do a search to see the history of intake mods here

if you must it seems like the TTDA is good, but only if you have a FMIC otherwise you will just me sucking air from either the engine compartment or right behind one of the intercoolers (unless you have a 180)

Default Injen is pretty nice

I'm really happy with the cold air set up from Injen, same concept at the other one on this post except the filter is just in front of the left lower grill insert.

Not true, I'm running a TTDA without an FMIC and it feels pretty good to me.
