Default Concert II with aftermarket speakers without amp???
In the quest for better sound quality on a limited budget and fear of gutting my loved TT (either by myself or worst.. by others) ...

1. would I be joking myself if I just upgrade the stock speakers without installing a amp?

2. What speakers is good to be powered by the OEM Concert II 25w x 4 output?

3. For quality speakers like MB Quart/Focal etc, is a amp mandatory? Have anyone used these speakers without a amp?

4. If I'm stubborn enough not to install any amp, what speakers would you guys suggest?

Assuming you have the "Bose" upgrade, you will have impedance mis-mach just replacing the speakers

no.. mine is non-Bose and I just need to upgrade the front splits to quality one.

Default then your front door speakers are powered by the amp in the H/U and are 4 ohms....
a good 6.5 " woof and separate 1" dome tweeter will drop right in.
