Default Confess to the TT driver at I-105/I-405 on Jan 22 at 8:00 pm

Sorry...
I was driving my E-420 with my family that evening at I-105 after picking up my brother from LAX. There is a Denim Blue TT with Xenon light behind me since we left the airport. When we were on the 105 and at the I405 section, the road is wide open... I was on the leftest lane, and there is a car at the right lane moving at around 60... I was at 70 mph at that time... I know the TT driver wants to go, so I thought "let's see how quick the TT can go". the slow lane is just empty... I scanned my rearview mirror, and the TT starts pulling to the right... "it's time", I jammed on the accelerator halfway, and the speed pulled to 80mph... only 3 car length distance from the car in the front to my right... then the TT just "run" by like I was walking and switch the my lane after passing me... WOW, that's TURBO power... I was so shocked that, I was driving the E420 and it's not a slow car... and the TT can passed me like that... I can even calm down to check if it's a Q or not... then I reach the section where I405 on ramp meets I105, and damn... the police car is dashing onto I105 and I said "God, please, don't get that...", while my family is yelling "ya go get that crazy guy"... (they are not Audi fans), but I think the TT driver drove so fast that, the police didn't catch him till 3 miles later.
So, to the TT driver... I was sorry... and if you didn't switch to the left lane and if you have chosen the slow lane, probably we were both being pulled over...
Anyway, nice car. I hope the insurance premieum hike won't hurt you too much... and yes, that I405 on/off ramp section on I105 is a speed trap... that's why I backed off as well...

Dizzy,
97' A4 1.8TQ
Soon-to-be A6 2.7T buyer... and of course the RS4 if available.

Default Yep, that's my experience too... kinda >>>

When I was playing cat & mouse w/ a TT in Northern 'Jersey heading towards Jersey City/Hollan Tunnel, the TT just plain leaps into action w/ a downshift (I'm assuming). I was in my Mustang and this FWD 180 suprised the heck out of me with its instant acceleration. I was scared for about 5 seconds that I couldn't hang. Mercifully, there was a nice long straight following where I regained my car-esteem (which died about five months later after I test drive my first TT and THEN hopped back into my 'Stang... which has not seemed the same since).
