Connecting V1 radar directly to RJ45 Outlet

Connecting V1 radar directly to RJ45 Outlet
Is this a safe option? If I put a fuse of the same amperage of the v1's normal fuse in the place of the outlets fuse, would that work?

Very clean way of runing the flat cord from the V1 around the
<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/67197/v1.jpg"></center><p>windscreen down to the fuse box.
If you wanted to go to the RJ-45 plug, you would have to run a longer cord to be invisible or use the coiled cord and you would see it when in use. Also, you need to jump a connector in the trunk (left side access hole) to get power to the jack. = much more work

2001...Anyone have any more info on the "jump connector" in the trunk
I have a crimp tool so i can make any length telephone wire I would need, so i really want to use that outlet!
