Default to convert my millibar boost readings from vag, do I simply multiply by .0145?

That gives me an unrealistically high number. I saw another post where he subtraced 1030 then multiplied. It must be right, can anyone tell me why?

Thanks

Default Yep, to convert to PSI you would multiply mbar by 0.0145 -

here's the math:

there are 14.5037 psi in 1 bar

there are 1000 millibar in 1 bar

so:

(1 millibar/1)(1bar/1000 millibar)(14.5037 psi/bar) = 0.0145 psi

hence 1millibar = 0.0145 psi

Perhaps you're reading the wrong block on the VAG, or are not reading in millibar?

I think you have to subtract 1000 from the VAG millibar reading for atmospheric pressure.

Default

makes sense since atmospheric pressure is 1 bar = 1000 mbar.
