Default Convertible top conditioning

Any favorite products for conditioning/preserving the convertible top? Mine's been garaged for 3 years now and rarely gets wet, but guess its time to give it a little anti-rot care.
Thanks
Paul

Default It's not rot you need to worry about but dust too...

just posted this a day or so ago too.
this stuff s the best for our fabric tops. If you've gone 3 years without a shampoo for your top, you need to do it.dust and dirt settle in it, and potentially can cause wear from the grains.I've used this for 4 years now, and my top is like new, no fading, no creasing, no spots. follow up with the top protector.

There is another brand, but this stuff is better.

I use the 303 shampoo with the RaggTopp conditioner. No gel though (contrary to top gear review)

Default Masking necessary?

Thanks for the quick info Jeff. Do you mask off the glass and rest of the car before using the conditioner stuff?
My local Audi dealer (Rockville) naturally doesn't have this stuff in stock.

I use the Porsche soft top conditioner and it works well - just pricey

Default Easy way to mask...

Get large plastic sheet (like painting drop cloth), open top slightly, put sheet under top, hanging over windshield and side windows, then close top. Not you only have to mask the back.
