Folks,

My TT is a 225 and has 155,000 miles on her...Well cared for.

I just discovered a coolant leak on a strange looking valve type thingy right behind the radiator at the top passenger side. It has been pissing on my driveway.

I also just had the 1296 code come in...coolant temp sensor.

1) can someone tell me what that thing is?

2) any best guesses as to what to change out?
