Default Cooling fan running after engine shut off-is there only a certain time this happens?...
The only other car I ever heard do that is dad's old dodge rampage-the cooling fan would run for like 5 mins after you shut it off. I imagine its a good thing though!

Default I'm pretty sure it happens each time you shut off the engine - even if the engine was not
running for a long time.

Is it the radiator fan, or the turbo pump/cooler?

I live in Houston (HOTTTT) and it's only come on a few times that I've noticed.

My turbo pump/cooler will come on even when I simply turn the key on and off = 5-8 min.

No- this is the cooling fan and not the recirc pump that runs all the time after shutdown
