Coupe owners: passenger seat/headrest rattle?
I've noticed a definite rattle coming from my passenger side seat that I can reproduce by hitting the side of the seat forcing something in the headrest mechanism to vibrate against something inside the seat. I say that because of I put the headrest all the way down and tilt it forward so it won't move, or just remove it completely, the sound goes away.
Anyone else have this? Do I likely have a bad paassenger seat back?
The test: raise the headrest on the passenger seat one click or so, then hit the driver's side side of the passenger seat with the side of your fist to make the seat back "shake." This rattles nicely (and annoyingly) for me...
Roadster owners, since your headrests are fixed, you don't get to play. ;-)

I do not have this problem, but I can tell you the seats are more complex than suspected.
I had a seat click that was a bear to find and the entire seat was taken apart. There are lots of parts to the seats. Are the plastic caps over the holes on top of the seat loose? You can remove the headrest by moving the seatback forward as if (AS IF!) someone were getting into the back seats and that should give you enough room to press the button and pull the headrest all of the way out. Do your bang trick and see if the rattle is still there. If so, something is broken inside the seat. If it goes away, then the mechanism that holds the headrest in is loose or broken.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Headrest mechanism...
As I stated above, when the headrest is removed, the noise goes away. Also, if you prevent the headrest from moving (either slide it all the way down and wedge it into the seat back, or physically hold it in place), the noise goes away.
Sounds like the headrest "holder" mechanism has problems; I also suspect such a thing means a new seat, unless dealers really do spend the time and effort to actually tear the seat apart.
I'll double check the plastic caps, though...

You will never get a new seat. There are 27 orderable parts in a TT seat.
Trust me, after all the trouble they went through with mine, if the parts manager could have ordered a whole seat, he would have.

I had this problem. There is a screw that secures the entire assembly to the center
console. It's loose. If I remember correctly, the center console piece that secures the
cup holder is easily removed. Another thing you might try is to turn the cup holder
clockwise to tighten. It's been quite awhile since I fixed this so I will have to take
a look. It drove me crazy though.
