You haven't looked very hard. Martyn at vagparts can get you a set of Euro tails, probably under 500

possibility: NiteShade them a bit darker until you find a set? just a thought

Default I see what you're saying. on the other hand, I LOVE just the top section painted black
This is exactly what I want to do in the future. I love how it flows perfectly from the rear window line curving up:

or use red see through paint. I did it on my old A4 to cover the amber. Looked 100% oem.
