I have been doing a lot of testing with it. Autofocus is tricky as I'm used to manual focus cameras and was having some shots not be in focus. I realized pointing directly at the dark body it could not focus at times so now I make sure to lock in on a wheel or something with contrasting detail.
I'm very happy with the camera. The memory stick is not an issue since I've tested a tiff (5+ meg file) and best jpeg and the jpeg at 1/5 the size is as good a pic. With the 64 or if I get a 128 meg memory stick I should not run out of memory before transferring the images to pc and then deleting those in the cam., and that's shooting 2272 pixels wide. The jpegs are about 1.5 megs.
The camera has a combo a/c adapter and charger so you can use it plugged in indoors and never have to remove the battery to charge. Batteries last 3 hours. Zeiss lens. I just plug the camera into my usb and it comes up as another drive. I can copy, transfer or delete files right from the computer. Controls on the cam are easy to use as well except any lcd will be hard to see outdoors. I think with a 128 meg memory stick and this camera you really don't need any other stuff except a good case. No card readers or additional batteries. Check out dpreview.com. Prices are about $600. I finally decided to get one...ordered a Nikon 995, cancelled it when I found out the lense was inferior to their prior model and found out about this. Since Sony makes everyones ccd's including nikon was kind of a no brainer.

All the stuff I've been doing is with a Fuji MX1700 (1.5 megapixels). Compact and pocketable, but I need some manual controls to do the really good stuff. Some nice images coming out of that Sony!
