Default well considering this is the ONLY reply which helps me...

you bastards!

it's not the battery for sure. we kept the cables on for a while, and that made NO impact on the sound the car was making or starting it.....

it's cranking at full power, it just never makes it past the crank.

do empty gas tanks happen, showing it to be 60% or past half full?? i guess it could...

what about fuel pump?

this is terrible.

Default .......The one time mine stopped..>>>

And just cranked like that it was outta gas and showing 1/3 tank...Precurser to a Cluster fark.

The good news it's cranking like normal? Could be a few things including the fuel pump or engine speed sensor that John mentioned...

Default always possible.......>>>

cluster can fail and so can the senders.....gas in it will prove this is resolved. 5 gallons will cover it if possible...

Fuel pump is less likely....then there is the timing belt....but let's no go there...

Gas first...as it sounds like you have almost completely ruled out the battery.....

Default well...i REALLY hope you're right steve...

i really hope it's a gas issue...i know that my cluster has been playing games with me lately....

sometimes, owning this car is like a full blown WAR isn't it?

i do think the cluster is going...but i don't know what to really do about it!
