Default Cross drilled rotors vs. snow

i heard cross drilled rotors are more prone to crack/warp in cold tempratures? any truth to this? i live in alaska, and i was thinking about picking up a set of x-drilled rotors, so this would be good info to know.

i guess it has something to do with water getting in there and freezing, warping the rotor.

TIA

I've run the Zimmermann cross-drilled for 3 winters here in Frostbite Falls, no problems.
