Tire Rack was half the price. Got decent wheels, better tires, mounting and shipping cheaper than local quotes for tires alone. Information in Tire Rack database is unmatched in making decisions as compared to dealing with counter kids.

There's a place in Rockville MD (could be Bethesda) that is absolutely top notch.
Owner/operator knew size of tires I was looking for as soon as I mentioned what I was driving. After I told him how many miles were on the car he KNEW that I had belt showing (don't ask). Steered me toward tires that were on sale and about $40 under of the tires I was looking at. Price was $8 a tire more than tire rack, but it included disposal, mounting, and balancing and there was no shipping. Plus they do free rotations every 5k miles.
Here's the real kicker though, all (or atleast most of) the the workers either race or on pit crews or involved in amatuer racing. They all know what they are doing and to balance the tires they let the computer get it close but then jack up car, crack open the hood and front doors and run the car at 40-60mph looking for vibrations move hood or doors. They re-balance to make all those things go away.
Of course I can't remember the name of the place to save my life right now. ARGH!!!

Discount Tire here will match the Tire Rack price. If there's a problem, we have someone...
close by to handle it. We have bought lots of tires from Tire Rack in the past and they have always been the best price around.
