Crunching sound/feel during cornering?

With around 500 miles on my TT, I noticed that when taking a hard corner under power, with the steering wheel fully locked, produced a disturbing "crunching" sound (and feel, ugh!) from somewhere near the front right of the car. This problem is more pronounced on right turns than left. With ~1500 miles now, the crunching occurs at much less sharp turns. In fact, I can sometimes reproduce it at low speeds under hard acceleration on a straightaway. Of course, I'll be taking the car to the dealer soon, but thought I'd check the combined wisdom of the forum to see if anyone else has had a similar problem?
BTW, this feels and sounds more like a power train issue than suspension...
Any ideas?

I've had the same experience with my Fwd180. I first noticed it after installation of my winter tire package and the onset of winter conditons here in MN. I also noticed it more on right hand turns, especially when starting from a standstill and making a right hand turn. I think what is happening is the ASR system is cycling the brakes on that wheel, similar to the effect of the anti-lock system. Did you notice if your ASR light is coming on when the noise occured? I have my 5000mi service scheduled for next week so I'll see if my theory is correct.
