Default Curved wiper blade

Driving throught a light mist this morning, it appeared that the passenger-side wiper blade is curved in the plane of the windshield. At first I thought this was an illusion, but eventually decided it was not. After I parked and got out, I verified that indeed, the wiper is curved.
Is this a special wiper blade, or does the mount force it into a curve? Are there any other Audis (or other vehicles) with this peculiar feature? Anyone know why it was curved like this. I didn't feel like standing out getting wet long enough to verify it was forced by the physical design of the car.
By the way, the speed-sensitive delay wipers work fairly well, though not quite enough at higher speeds.
Jack Rich

The A6 I drove had the same blade curved. All I know is, it works!

All of the new Audis have a curved blade on the right side. It tends to conform to the glass better.
Jason Dale
Audi Technician
Ken Garff Motors
Provo, UT

I have 2 coats of RainX on my windshield. I can't recommend that stuff highly enough.
Windshield wipers actually make the visibility worse!
Ed

All current Audis have curved RH blade. Conforms to the glass better, and matches the curve at the bottom of the windshield so the blade parks lower, is less visible when wipers are off.
