Default Back from dealer - they replaced it and put a new clamp on -

said there was some dirt and grit in the joint but no damage. Tightened with Audi tool (shown in this thread) and it should not be a further problem. I'll keep an eye on it though. Oh, this was $275. Ugggggg!!

Default they replaced the CV boot? plus the new clamp? for $275? wow.

that's pretty high. should have put a new wheel bearing in while you were at it. i think i paid $385 for a new wheel bearing, CV boot and clamp.
