After the 500, I watched a replay of the IROC Dayton race. Dale made a great save after being bumped into the infield. Moves like that make it hard to believe he was a mortal.

I absolutely love motorsports, and days like this convice me that it's not for the crashes...not at all. I'm stunned, and vey saddened.
We were at Watkins Glen when J.D. Mc Duffie crashed and died. It was a similar feeling, even though J.D. was far from a superstar. It's the knd of feeling I would have if a Forum member died.
I flew Air Force fighters in Viet Nam, and lost some friends. This is similar. It sucks...
