Default Damn economy...it even turned my trusted dealership to the dark side. I have definitely

gone against the trend on this board regarding dealership relationships. Mine has been pretty good over the years to me. I called them about my clutch job today to see if they were up to it and what they'd charge me. In the past they gave me a nice break on their std labor charges and would install the parts I'd bring to them. They'll still let me bring in the parts for them but they raised their hourly rates to $100 and can no longer give me a break. They quoted 10-12 hours of labor too. What a bummer, now I need to find someone I can trust this surgery to.

Default 10-12hrs is the correct work effort if doing a clutch and flywheel>>>

i believe the actual book number is 10..

On the labor rate, if they went up 10$, that is only a 100$ difference, which is cheap if they are letting you bring your own parts...which also probably the reason they buffered in 2hrs, because of the parts...

Did you ask about the warranty of the work? If one of your parts fails, I bet they would charge you to tear it down again....Lots of shops do that...

Just a rant, but do not go on the cheap for this job....it is painful if someone makes an error....

Just my 2 cents...

Default I paid $750.00 labor to indy for mine. I supplied all parts. Dealer price was similar to your quote.

Did you see my pic? You have to practically disassemble the car.
