Default Dangnabbit!! Can someone recommend a service dept in MA without their heads up their butts?

So I bought the car at the closest dealer, because I was pretty sure at the time that I'd be paying
sticker. Fine.

Then I tried out a couple places for service and found various problems. One would have long waits and scary tight parking spaces, the other wouldn't offer loaners.

Here's my latest: I scratched up (quite badly)
my passenger side mirror casing. Fine - order
one from parts and make an appointment with service to get it installed (along with some other
issues). Now, since I'm smarter than the average
bear, I figured I'd ask about PAINT. I knew it
would come primed, but that's it. Parts says
they don't do it. So I wait for it to come in and
then call service. They think parts handles the
painting. Can you check? I'll transfer you.
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrggh! It's forty feet
away - go find out!!!!! I still don't really
know. I feel like gouging my eyes out so I won't
have to see the scratches anymore...

Offending dealer: Brookline VW Audi
Other dealer hinted at: Pass & Weisz (only
problem I had there is no loaners)

So is there anyone around who is good, or even
kinda good? Clair? Ira? Other?

Thanks,

Default I bought from Clair & liked my sales experience, but don't have any reference re: service dept...

might be worth a try? Overall, the dealership seems to be fairly customer-service oriented... But, then again (meaning no flames, please), I don't have service experience there... sorry!

Oh, Iknow the dude who owns the local Saab dealership and he recommends P&W... but they can have a wait, and as you said, no loaners...

Default I doubt they exist..each as some major flaw, IMO

Either long service waits, parts not in stock, short hours, no saturday hours, no loaners, or too far away. In my case, all of the above. Thats not fair..the service wait is only about a week or 2. But their heads haven't seen daylight since I have gone there

Just call around to see who has the right balance I guess.

Sandy had good luck at Wagner. But they are too far for me

Default IRA is ok if you get the right tech

and in my case, have a salesman helping me with them

As for the part - it comes to parts, goes to the body shop to be painted then back to service to be installed. I had a rear spoiler for my Avant go thru this drill. Worked out ok actually

Default I Vote for Wagner too.... (Long)

I've got good experience with Wagner, too. They've got Dan Jones, the best Audi Mechanic in the Northeast (just finished a stint at VWOA writing Audi training manuals; has several UR Quattros, one of which gets like 400hp and he uses it for hill climbs. He knows his stuff and won't let you do the wrong thing. He personally works on my car, including APR chip upgrade & several diagnostic problems relating to sensors etc.

Wagner itself is good people but sometimes you wait for parts. Loaners generall available for warranty work except for oil change, etc.
