Saudi Arabian roads are really something.
Terribly built.
Not maintainted well.
Sports lots, lots of:
-Hyper agressive drivers.
-Suicidal drivers, really.
-Idiots from unknown towns in India, Pakistan, etc..., who now are in charge of huge trucks.
-Dads with kids on their lap chatting on the phone, while operating the wheel with their knees.
-Kids who snatched cars.
The cars on the road are not well maintained.
Lots of construction going on.
Lots of broken car parts on the road, obviously.
And the women will start `driving` soon.
Oh my! Nothing against women driving guys, my wife does, they let them do that in bahrain. And while the guys in bahrain are a little dangerous, the women are completly unpredictable. They do not care about their surroundings AT ALL. The number of times I have been cutoff is amazing.
-but what they do in Saudi is not driving.
-If guys `rarely` see women in public, then trying to pickup women on the road is a good prediction of yet another fun activity to watch out for.
This means that if you dare go there you need a really fast Volvo. Which is what most expats get, a buddy of mine got the S40. 230hp and small enough to get out of trouble.
A financial advisor I know got an M3. He said: "I can't tell you how many times it gets me away from trouble".
And so the Dark Arabian Knight prepares...
