Default The dark days of the batmobile ....

Audi's working on it, slowly and thoroughly ...
I told em they have it until i come back end of March if they need to - will find out more detail tonight on what actually went wrong with tranny.

Lots of things up in the air right now - and the way things are going & how i'm feelin, i'mma park TT & disappear to my homeland of ukraine for an extended period of time to be with my family and continue my soulsearching adventures.

I've lived here for 8 years but i've had it, I give up on Canada; people are sloppier than anywhere i've seen in the world, don't know what respect for anyone means, have such a media-influenced way of life that its just absolutely incredible to me & everyone old and young seems to be propelled by the neverending urge of getting richer .... only to find that when they have finally reached their goal, your wife has left you, son you never talk to & your life has passed you by

More thoughts to follow :P cheers

Default I take offence to your opinion of Canada....

Any western civilization suffers froma media influenced life but Canada has been voted as one of the best places in the world to live. Our economy is strong, our political sysytem works, healthcare is free and we have more lakes than any other country in the world. Canada's reputation in the world is excellent. I disagree with you that we all have the urge to get richer. Canadians live a very balanced lifestyle compared to most western civilizations. We exercise more, take more vacations and visit the world more. Perhaps you need to spend time in Ukraine to appreciate life in Canada

Default he's a dope don't mind him

the only thing I like about him is his car....the rest can go back to the Ukraine and stay there. I find it ironic that someone from the Ukraine would criticize western culture and media and the system.

Default Yeah even I have heard Canada isn't influenced by midea as much. u should check NY if you think....

Canada is that bad. And as this posts goes it's true "any western civilication suffers from media" but it's upon you to keep a balance on what's out there and yourself.
Otherwise people go insane even in the midwest. While some are capable of handling a balanced life no matter where they live.

Default You are very right & trust me, compared to anywhere in the world ......

Canada is a haven for all liberal minded people from all over the world, it is a country where all cultures are mixed quite smoothly and without any problems (crime rate + murders very low).

But for me personally there's something missing ... Canada is too neat, too perfect.
I'm not George Dubya, what i said about Canada is a personal opinion and i still try and understand why everyone on this forum takes everything so personally ...
Once again, personally anytime i'm in any eastern european country i'm glowing with joy inside, but that is because i was born in those regions & lived there long enough to concider it my home. Now you are correct once again when you say that perhaps I have to live in ukraine to appreciate canada. Yet we humans always want what we can't have and want to be where we cannot be.

If you have been fortunate enough to have visited eastern europe, especially ukraine - you'll very quickly agree that the food is amaizing, the women incredible & in quantities never-before-seen in north america and that the traditional way of life is more spirit/happiness oriented - making the citizens of those countries more joyful in their everyday lives. BUT you can very easily get kidnapped, education is of great quality but very low rank worldwide amongst big establishments, you'll get an asskicking here and there just for walking home, jobs pay very little money (even for high skill) ... and so on, which makes the situation a seesaw, back and forth.

Again, for me personally : I'm in a very good university (UofToronto), finished a private education in french making me fluent in 3 languages, was Toronto all-around long jump champion 2 years back-to-back + endless track gold medals, have completed master's degree in horseback riding, have been known to immerse myself in professional photography, have written short stories for compilations, have taught kids to kayak, horseback ride, archery & leadership @ camp, played piano, drums & clarinet for a number of years & still i ain't happy when I wake up in the morning.

Now i am not trying to show off nor have an argument with you over the validity of Canada as being the haven that it is - i am simply saying that after all of that, and then some; i don't have that spark towards life that i have felt before in another part of the world, in Canada i have placed MYSELF in a position of loneliness & helplessness over the years, one that can only be broken by my displacing my priorities in life and moving from my wonderful home of Toronto ... until i see fit for me to return & start again.

Good points indeed, the world is what we make of it for ourselves and those around us.

Default Sounds like a good 'ol fashioned case of homesickness.

Hope you find what you're looking for, and if you need to leave your car with someone, send me an email -- you've got a few parts I could use :-P
