Default Dash Display Comparisons

After dinner in Hagerstown on the way home, Larry was checking fault codes on Denny's car, we got to talking about the difference in the dash displays. I went to each car and took these piks. Interesting differences:

Larry's Dash: Model Year 2000 - Lit up like a Christmas Tree

Wendy's Dash: Model Year 2001 - Did I forget to pay my electric bill?
<img src="http://www.intelab.com/wennch/wendysdash.jpg">

Denny's Dash: Model Year 2002 - Damn I hate that idiotic message.

Default That's interesting but all it tells us is that the cluster no longer turns on the white bulb until

the car is actually started. Was that the point?

Default That's funny.....

My dash looks like Larry's except for the car in the middle. My little car looks like Wendy's. Also I think it's a lot bigger, but would have to look to be sure. 2000 TTQC here.

Default Not exactly. Perhaps i should explain more...Larry....step in anytime...

actually in the 2001 (mine), the dash doesn't light until you turn the lights on. There are other subtle differences as well.

Of course, i can't remember whether Denny needed to turn her lights on to get the dash lit up.

Larry's doesn't have the OBC...that's why it looks like that. You probably do.

Default I'm not Denny, but...

Since I have the non-modded version of her car, I can say that you need to turn on the lights in order for the displays on the dash to light up. As per the picture, the needles are always lit. I found that kinda odd when I first noticed it.
