We're moving to Chicago in 2 weeks and for at least the first 4 months we'll be in a downtown apartment with a very tight off-street lot to park in. Sadly, we decided to trade the TT for a 2001 GTI VT6 since we don't feel that those are good TT-owning conditions (no garage, tight parking space, potential for lots of little dings or worse, etc).
So my car payment will definitely improve but I'll really miss the TT. We're thinking that once we get settled in a house with a garage (hopefully in the fall) we'll look at trading back up for a TT again.
*sigh*

We decided to make the trade last week. Since then I've spent a lot of time in the car. I don't think I ever took it for granted, but now I look back at all the good times we had and think "screw it, why not just keep it?"
Absence makes the heart grow fonder. I'd hate to see it vandalized/stolen/damaged so perhaps this is the best way. On the flip side, when we get settled in maybe we can get a roadster instead of a coupe!
