At the end of last week I took the TT in for a bulb replacement and to show them a little data on comparing a 'bad' Audi MAF with a VW MAF. I had been having recurring CEL problems and had asked the dealer to replace. They claimed that the TTDA and FMIC were the fault. I did a couple of VAG logs using the Audi MAF, and then I installed the VW MAF and did the same runs and logs. The VW MAF showed approximately 30% more air flowing than the Audi MAF. They then agreed to replace the bad MAF.
They wanted to know why I would want the VW MAF taken out and a new Audi one installed if there was no problem.
My reasoning.
1. I wanted the OEM one in and I could put mine back on the shelf for post 70K mile issues.
2. I wanted evidence that they would replace parts even with mods (TTDA, DVR, FMIC, exhaust) No Chip![Smile](https://www.audiworld.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Hopefully you can do the same and get your dealer to replace your MAF.
