can't do it..they will say they will have the damage repaired and then throw in the next big tune up to sweeten the deal..like Audiboy says...

They didn't think that Audi would do anything for me, so if anything is done it will supposedly be at the dealer level.
He said that they might be able to do some form of extended warranty on an informal basis through the dealership, but they'd need to get approval before he could guarantee anything.
At least they gave me a 2008 S-line A4 with only 250 miles on it to drive while the TT is being repaired.
The dealership has been pretty cooperative and flexible with me in the past, so I doubt I'll want to play hardball with them. Still, they need to make things right within reason.

Something similar happened to my wife's car five years ago and the insurance company (the guy that backed into us and we had the same company) did exactly that after we pressed them for it.
I forget the exact details but they cut us a check for around 3200.
