Make them guarantee the resale price difference between damaged and undamaged. They can do it.

Default diminished value can be estimated pretty accurately

probably around $1-1.5K.... it's just a fender... get it painted, hit them up for the cash, and forgetaboutit

Make sure you get an MK2 as a loaner and tell them to take their time.

Default Please, let us know what happens..I will keep my skepital opinion to myself..

can't do it..they will say they will have the damage repaired and then throw in the next big tune up to sweeten the deal..like Audiboy says...

How would they do that?

Default Here's what they've said so far...

They didn't think that Audi would do anything for me, so if anything is done it will supposedly be at the dealer level.

He said that they might be able to do some form of extended warranty on an informal basis through the dealership, but they'd need to get approval before he could guarantee anything.

At least they gave me a 2008 S-line A4 with only 250 miles on it to drive while the TT is being repaired.

The dealership has been pretty cooperative and flexible with me in the past, so I doubt I'll want to play hardball with them. Still, they need to make things right within reason.

Default My accident does not show on my TTs Carfax. FWIW.

I'm never selling my TT so its not a big deal. Just thought I'd let you know.

Default Like OldSchoolAG said, it's very easy to estimate... have them cut you a check.

Something similar happened to my wife's car five years ago and the insurance company (the guy that backed into us and we had the same company) did exactly that after we pressed them for it.
I forget the exact details but they cut us a check for around 3200.

Some might be able to tell that a repair had occurred even with a good repair & no carfax.
