Idle is kinda weird, holds 8-900rpm and drops 200 or so rpm and then goes back up. They said its the MAF. Would that K+N cause this? Can I fix the MAF or do I just get a new one?

Call your local VW dealer ask for MAF part# 06A906461A. Cost at Gilboy VW in PA $49 or >>
get one at performance-cafe at the link below. I think it's about 58 +s&h. You have to remove MAF sensor from the new MAF housing and replace the sensor in your OEM MAF housing.

http://www.performance-cafe.com/product_info.php?products_id=787</a

Re: They blame anything they can on aftermarket parts so they dont have to pay... Jerks!
Because they have no choice. If a dealer does do warranty on a modified car, AoA rejects it. The computer codes are available to AoA via the Regional Audi reps that OK warranty items for the dealer to get reimbursement. If a dealer reimburses a modified vehicle and the Regional Audi rep calls it, then the dealer eats the amount in full.
The Service Advisor at the Audi Dealer in Marin has informed me that the modification issue is severe enough that the diagnostic computers are all being programmed now to read back to Audi in Germany. If any car is modified, the warranty is voided and repairs will be entirely at custome expense.
So, no mods on my TT that can be read by the diagnostic computer. It is good enough for me to drive a factory stock car that is of a design which I like... ;-)
Besides, it isn't personal. It is stricktly business on their part...
