There reasoning, no matter how weak it is, is valid. An after market intake causes air to flow in higher volumes and faster than the stock air intake. Therefore it exceeded the limit of an allready weak maf sensor. I know it sucks, and the part is weak at best to start but, they win regardless. To be honest, getting the cheap VW part and fixing it myself gave me alot of self satisfaction anyway.
