Default I never said it was right. I just said it happens...alot. Sure, he could...

sue and spend a ton of money fighting with the dealer for misrepresenting the car, but it's really personal. Since there's no note of it in carfax, he could also turn around and sell it down the line, and not tell potential buyers. Now, sure that's not right either, but you see where I'm going with this....if it means more money in the dealer's pocket or the private seller's pocket, what makes you think it would ever be disclosed? So, the point is, it happens all the time, whether someone buys the car from the dealer or a private seller. And since alot of the body shops these days do some pretty amazing work, hell, your car could have had some work for all you know.

Default Re: dealer screwed my friend who bought a TT

just an update.. he took it up to the dealer tonight and they are going to make it right. they are going to detail the entire car, refund his money that he paid to have it detailed somewhere else and give him a loaner while its in the shop..

I must say Im impressed that the dealer would do this.. they even looked into what had happened. sounds like the door was scratched so they repainted it and whomever did it didnt do a quality job...

they say they will do whatever it takes to make my friend happy...
