I'm doing the number two: MK1 fronts, new MK2 rears (local dealer), but may swap out to the poly fronts at some time.

Anyway to confirm I still have MK1's on my car? Like a stamping on the A arms?

At the front pivot. Mk1 on left, Mk 2 on right
