Default Defective Bridgestone Tires

I have had 2 blown tires on my TT in the last 6 months from going over minor potholes. Audi has replaced them, but it is getting really annoying and I am starting to worry about the safety of these tires given that they are a Firestone product and Audi knows there is a problem with them. Has anyone been sucessful in getting Audi to replace all four tires with another brand?

Time to buy some cost-effective; i.e. cheap priced Kumho's from Tire Rack

Default How do the Kumhos compare to the RE730 Bridgstone?

I know the Kuhmos are a lot cheaper, but you have to sacrifice something. What is it?

Default This isn't a Bridgestone thing, it's a low-profile tire thing...

Most any really low profile tire will have problems with road hazard blowouts. There is no "known problem" with them that hasn't been experienced with the tires from alternate vendors that Audi has also used. (For example, the S4 boards are full of several reports of "bubbled" Pirelli P6000s.)

Audi will replace any tires damaged by road damage once, under warranty. Since I can no longer point you to the service bulletin, ask your dealer for details...
