Default The Pilot Sport is a great tire in the rain...I've got PZero M+S on...

now because I need the year round traction that the PS doesn't have. The PS absolutely outperforms the Pirelli in summer wet conditions. Haven't tried the snow or cold rain with the Pirellis yet.

Default I also agree and my experience has been the same. Quattro does feel more...

solid near the limits but the FWD has been more than enough for the driving I do.

Default it would make it MUCH better but still...that much power in FWD is just not what I like.

Pulling out of a corner and getting on throttle will spin thouse wheels like crazy. In a RWD car you'll have more control because you can throttle steer, but then a boosted RWD can be a hard cookie to crack. I do like cookies though

Default It's the reason I attribute to the TT seeming to outperform the A4 Q in that situation

I love the Pilot Sports for that reason but after going through 2 sets I don't like them for the price, treadwear and the fact they tend to get noisy after 10-15 K miles.

I'm running BFGoodrich gForce now. They are quiet and have worn very well for 15K so far. Not as good in the wet though.

I ran P-Zero Neros and M+S on the A4. The Neros wore out VERY quickly.

Default There's lots of options to cover up the shortcomings of FWD

But I still personally feel you are just masking an inferior design that is unnecessary.

Need to consider the skills of the average, and more importantly, below average driver.
