detailing question:

i'm working on a friend's truck that has baked on bird droppings on the hood. it looks like they're etched into the paint. any advice getting them off is appreciated.

Take a couple of terry cloth towels (bath size), soak in water and then place dripping wet towels...

over entire hood and let sit for an hour...remove towels and then hose off hood...dry with cloth whatever you normally use to dry car...get some clear coat body scrub and cleaner wax and start a rubbin...then wax.
