Probably, someone at Audi USA decided not to take it (most likely for cost reasons I bet), since it appears to come only with the european cars. Similarly, the rest of the world uses the Audi Germany designed sales brochure -- it's beautiful, clean and really communicates the purity of the TT design. The U.S. brochure on the other hand, looks like any old car brochure. It's a shame that Audi USA can't see fit to follow the home market more closely on these issues. After all, it's the Americam customer who ends up with the short end of the stick...

Re: it was NEVER designed to go there! It goes below the steering wheel.... ;-) !!!
The only thing below the steering wheel is an area which opens up only if the steering wheel is adjusted upward towards your face. This opening disappears if you adjust the wheel downward. It is pretty obvious that you are not supposed to put anything there. By the way, the manual suggests you *NOT* point the airbag-equipped wheel up towards your face.<p>Is there some other place you're talking about that I'm missing?
