Default DID brightness problems

Sorry if this has been discussed before, but I searched the archives and couldn't find any thread related directly to it.

I've had my TTR for about 4 weeks now and the only complaint I have is the In-Dash display occasionally goes completely red washing out the display and making it unreadable. At first it seemed to be related to driving through brightly lit areas at night (trying to compensate for light levels?) and then it seemed to primarily happen when the TT was cold. However, now it seems to be doing it more often and at random times.

Has anyone had a similar experience and is it simply something to do with a bad/dirty light sensor or do I have a bad unit? Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
