Default Did some 0-60 and 1/4 mile times today....

With APR 93, Milltek cat and 100mm resonated exhaust and Modshack Stage 3. I was consistent in the 14.4 second 1/4 mile and 6.0 second 0-60. This was done without totally abusing the clutch (3500 rpm launches) and shifting at redline in each gear. Does this seem good, bad or average. I was using a Beltronics G-Timer to get these numbers. I tried to set it up with very accurate weight numbers. Also, it was estimating that my car was making about 280-283hp at the flywheel.

Default Try shifting earlier...>

Power is falling off after 6K plus you're making a lot of heat... Figure weight at 3350 for the car with 1/4 tank or so Plus your weight..

I have the weight too low then. That will lower the times. What do you think about the hp numbers?

I will try shifting earlier too. I am not hip on the 5K launch just to post a fast time though.

Default Hp looks in the ballpark.....>

The problem with 1/4 mile timing is you're building a lot of heat quickly...Timing is pulled back as temps rise, slowing performance. An FMIC would help a bunch for this kind of performance testing..

HP numbers would likely rise slightly also if I had the weight correct.

Default try shifting later........>>

at like 7000. i got better times shifting higher. yes your not making any horsepower that high, but when you shift your RPMs drop to a good spot

you will have better 1/4 times this way. in my own experiences ive dropped about 3-4 tenths shifting past redline.

True... I feel more boost in the next gear when shifting at 5500

HP would remain the same, power to weight would change.
