Default adaptation is really just>>>

a reset...think in terms of resetting the ECU and doing the Throttle body adaptation at the same time for the best of all worlds.
You should feel the changes if there were "issues" after 80-100miles....or so.

Default sounds like partial limp mode almost>>>

could be a bad MAF with your mods....

Try disconnecting the battery...let it sit for 15 mins (have your radio code) and then test again....or

If you have access to VAG, read block 32..if part throttle values are above 10+/-..it could be the start of full limp and a sign the MAF is going....

Default check the numbers anyway>>>>

the other possbility is that you have a boost leak from a hose.....but i would start with the basics first...
