Default Didn't the first owners manuals have an aluminum spine? (more)

I thought that the owners manual for the TT came out with an aluminum spinein keeping with the design of the car. When I got my TT last week the owners manual has a simple cloth/nylon feeling cover with a possibly leather spine.
Does anyone know if/when/why this was changed?

Default yes and no (more)

Apparently in the U.K., maybe on the continent also, there is an aluminum spined cover on the manual that stows under the steering wheel but not in the states.

I have got my black/black 180 TT two weeks ago and the manuals are having an aluminum spine. My TT is a US TT delivered in Mexico City.
