Dietrich plate indent custom filled BY ME! (pics)
I know this is a repost, but I'm really proud of myself!
Here's the steps.
Start

fiberglass application
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/58264/fiberglass1.jpg">
sand like crazy...
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/58264/sand_fiberglass.jpg">
then...
body filler application 1
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/58264/bodyfiller1.jpg">
sand like crazy... then...
body filler application 2
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/58264/bodyfiller2.jpg">
sand, sand, touch up, sand, touch up, sand...
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/58264/done1.jpg">
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/58264/done2.jpg">
<img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/58264/done3.jpg">
It took about 36 hours from start to finish, that's including sleeping, and letting each layer dry, eating, a fishing trip, trip to the grocery store, etc...
not too terribly hard. it needs a little more touchup to get the curves EXACTLY perfect, but I'd say I have another hour or two work on it then that part will be done and I can move on to fitment when the bodyshop is done with the rear.

a white primer with high gloss clear coat over it, just in that area... I was
using the reflections of very straight edges to check the curvature to make sure it was perfect. not 100% necessary, but very helpful. I'll be sanding it off with very fine sandpaper before it actually goes in for paint.
