Default Difference between 225 exhaust manifold and 180?

I was reading on the vortex forums about the ATP Eliminators and they were discussing whether the stock 180 exhaust manifold has enough flow for a big turbo like the GT28R. Some think the manifold is too small and restrictive to flow enough air. The consensus was maybe 300whp max with the stock 180 manifold.

So, for 225 owners like myself, is the 225 exhaust manifold bigger than the 180?

TIA

Default 45?

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/30768/throttlebodyendmanifold.jpg"></center><p>yes, the 225 is bigger than the 180. And mine is 18% bigger after custom porting and polishing.
Now if only there was a bigger turbo with mapping and ecu software ready to go!

Wow...your manifold looks sweet. How much did the porting and polishing cost? I'll have to have that done as well.

As far as software goes, I heard REVO has BT software but only for the 180s. So, do you know of any piggy back systems or standalone engine management for TTs?

Default Thanks, was done at Wilson Manifolds as a prototype

<center><img src="http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/30768/throttlebody.jpg"></center><p>gota deal that included significant TB work as well for $600. Probablly $1,000 worth of work.

Yea, I wonder if its any good. Did the vortex guys say good things about them? I heard tubular is prone to cracking.

Is Haltech the best standalone then? How easy is it to tune? There's an AWD dyno a few miles away from where I live.

Default check atp for their gt28 that bolts up to stock manifold...>>

PRETTY HOT, imo...

use w/the GIAC software and get the update...

last time i checked, the pricing wasnt available...

but.... they cast the hot side of the turbo on site and bolt it up (for use on stock exhaust manifold)...

only issue is coolant/oil lines....
