I called my Audi tech and he said as long as the heads were the same ATC 2 ATC...>>

the blocks were interchangable. He also said that AOA should have sent an ATC head as there are too many differences.

Sort of looks like the people that did the exchange screwed up. or Audi did...:-/.

but he certianly needs the ecu first, and of course it does seem to be running, albeit poorly. My ignorance is profound beyond that, but of course my common sense tells me "duh, bubba, it jus' 'ain dat simple!"
