Have measurements done and everything lined up to build, just deciding on final design for cost.

http://img296.imageshack.us/img296/813/50mm1partdesignzj9.jpg</a

Default The gotcha's...

1. Vents (as you already noted).
2. Attachment mechanism that you can reach with gauges already installed. They have to be strong enough to hold the pod to the dash in the event of a crash, as well (don't want to kill anyone with a flying pod, do you?).
3. Surface finish (people are picky, at least I am).
4. Attaching the gauges to the pod.

Other than that it's a piece of cake. I have a few laying around ; )

Default Re: The gotcha's...

2 is covered with a few methods along with ways to save cost in the end and the pod itself will not be made out of plastic for those reasons....
3. Im the same way... Im not goin to make them unless im really happy with the finish. But I know the surface finish can be matched.

4 already taken car of too. have a alot of gauges both 52 and 60mm..
