Default DISSAPEARED: Cold start, cough, sputter, misfire and no start!

About 2 1/2 weeks ago I posted on a problem with TT loading-up on cold start resulting in a number of problems including leaving me stranded at airports. I also reported AoA wants the ECU for re-coding EPROM expected to fix My TT and others with similar problems.

Well, at the time of my post tipster Brad Willis also posted he waits until he gets the "OK" on the LED b/4 advancing ignition switch to start position (I always did a stab and start routine). I've tried this during the interviening period of time and am yet to get anything but clean starts.

I've gotten into the habit of turning ignition switch to *on* position, buckle seat belt and then start TT. Such a simple thing. Perhaps, its much like giving the drive by wire computer (ECU) time to boot-up and sample conditions b/4 iniatiting instructions in start mode.

FWIW, dealer wanted car next week but that can't happen. They will get car week of 22nd instead. Will see what EPROM changes are made and results on stock ECU.

If you're looking for this *performance* again, there's a '78 Fury I could recommend

Default Um... yeah :P

It did make those Minnesota winter mornings interesting!

"Ok, baby start.... please start.... Grr!"

Fortunately, the situation never reached the point of groveling at its grille, but thank Mopar it had electronic ignition. Cheers!

Default CB, do you now hear the fuel sender lifting the fuel?

I hadn't heard this in the TT until I stopped to listen...turn key to on, listen carefully, you'll hear the fuel sending unit buzz start its routine of assessment and "lifting" the proper fuel to start the car.
