Default Dissappointed after switch to DV30

I switched the G valve for the DV30 on Saturday. I had picked it up from Bailey Motorsport last week while in England. It would have taken about 20 minutes to install if I hadn't dropped one of the clamps which took me about 45 minutes to find and retrieve given the lack of light at the time. I disconnected the CPU plugs for well over 15 minutes as recommended. I've driven the car for well over 20 accel/brake cycles but I still don't notice any difference. The acceleration from a complete stop is still worse than a '94 Honda Accord. There may be a VERY slight difference in surging once I hit about 3K rpm. I will have to drive it more to be sure I'm not just hallucinating. Am I expected too much? Do I need to drive it more to allow the computer to relearn? Was the acceleration at low RPM's always this bad? (I thought it was better when the car was brand new.) Is this a function of the Turbo that I have to live with for as long as I keep this car?

Default Glad to see I'm not the only one who dropped a clamp!!

At 1st, I didn't see where I dropped it and thought it may have gone down the hose towards the turbo!! D'OH.

The dv will not give you more hp. The turbo kicks in 2500 to 3000 rpms.

Default Duh!

There was never a question of expecting more HP. I'm not sure what the HP of a '94 Honda Accord is but I can safely say my 225 CQ has a bit more. Nonetheless, I seem to remember better acceleration at low RPM's when I drove it off the lot. Is my memory faulty?

Did you unplug both connectors for the ECU?

Default You may have non-DV problem.

Turbo produces boost below 2000, because max torque comes in there and is "managed" by the computer to hold steady until almost 5000.

As far as "slower than a 94 Accord" IMO something's amiss. Have you had dealer look at it?
Any mods (other than Bailey)?

Default Did you remember to turn the key to 'II' and leave it there until you heard a few clicks?

You need to let the ECU and engine talk a bit before you start the car. I don't have a clue if this is it, but just asking.

PS - Your comment of 'Duh!' makes me think twice about offering a suggestion. Don't yell at someone for misinterpreting what you meant. He might have been joking too.

I didn't remember to turn the key to II for the clicks. Thanks. I will try it again.
As per your ps, I don't agree that I was yelling. (Not all caps you know.) I was and still am frustrated. I felt the HP comment was stating the obvious. Hence the response of Duh. No offence or yelling intended to Chaka (or anyone else for that matter).
I just want my car to work properly. I live over 3 hrs from the nearest Audi service center/dealership.
